But it is not recommended to visit this place without a guide: the people who work here can be annoying just like any other market in the world. Teatro Amazonas in Manaus

The Amazon Theatre is a beautiful opera house in the middle of the jungle and it is the place where it is organized the annual Amazonas Opera Festivaland other extraordinary concerts.

Alter do Chão

Alter do Chão is a beautiful village near the Green Lake and it is one of the best excursions from Santarém. This is also a mini beach resort with clear green water and white sands in the middle of the Amazon and it has been called “the Caribbean of the Amazon”.
